Principal Full Stack Engineer, San Francisco

We're hiring world-class software engineering talent to architect the next generation of cyber security training products. Cyber security awareness training is an industry that is ready for a new wave of products that surprise and engage end users. As a Principal Full Stack Engineer, you'll help lead technical direction for all customer facing applications and products at pikotime and lead the way in continuing to build our Serverless infrastructure. 

Essential Job Functions

• Establish the standards for the team in areas of technical excellence.

• Work collaboratively with Product Management and our UX designers to develop applications that can be tested easily and will perform well under a variety of real world conditions.

• Champion adherence to best practice development methodologies.

• Facilitate automated testing so all teams can innovate at a rapid pace.

• Mentor and build skills across the team through effective standards setting, code reviews and pairing.

Experience Needed

• 4+ years of experience developing complex enterprise applications with JavaScript.

Position Requirements

• Bias towards mentorship and skill building.

• Extensive breadth and depth in SAAS application design and implementation.

• Excellent communication skills. Solid team player.

Technical Skills Needed 

• Expert at Full Stack JavaScript application development especially on the backend. (Node + NoSQL)

• Strong knowledge of HTML5 (DOM, markup, browser APIs) and CSS3 (SASS preprocessor, OOCSS, modular)

• Strong knowledge of Git, version control, branching strategies, merging, rebasing

• Performance optimization experience including browser page rendering, network traffic, and back-end system tuning.

• Strong focus on Automation - Continuous Integration/Deployment.

• Familiarity with Serverless architectures and AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, AWS SAM Education

• BS/MS in CS or equivalent is preferred.

The pikotime Sales team strives to build strong relationships with today's business leaders based on trust, premium quality products and the industry's best customer service. 

Ideal candidates will have experience building scaled sales and service programs, overseeing complex operations, analytical marketing, recognizing patterns of success (and failure) quickly, and working cross-functionally. Success in this position requires a passion for leadership, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Build and lead a world-class account team focused on increasing revenue, business relationships and deepening relationships.

• Spearhead new business development for the company by understanding account needs and clearly communicating pikotime's benefits to influential key educational decision makers.

• Evaluate current advertising relationships, set revenue goals, define key metrics, establish accountability and drive results.

• Build strong C-level relationships that grow and accelerate pikotime's subscription revenue model. 

• Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to represent customer and market feedback as we develop new cutting edge products.  

• Represent the company at professional conferences and industry events attended by our products' primary target audiences

• Understand and implement account management and customer success practices to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of engagement with education establishments and universities
